The Cold War has been over for several years. Cuba is no longer a threat to the US and normal open relations can only benefit our two countries. The US can only benefit from increased trade and Cuba would experience a tourism boom thus helping both countries in these tough economic times. While some may say Cuba is still a repressive communist regime, increased interaction with the free world can only help ease the repression and poverty there.
