The banning of weapons to civilians reflects the American society,as a whole, untrustworthy to own any lethal weapons. There are several thousands of trustworthy gun owners that should not be punished for the actions of others, but, the security of the weapons and there owners can be increased to a mental stability check every 6 months and when deemed mentally unstable those firearms confiscated until that individual becomes stable again. However the great majority of gun owners, including myself, would disagree with greater security, we would prefer that than not getting to own firearms.
