Not allow board members of the FDA to be employed by the private sector while working in the public sector

This petition was started to not allow the board members of the FDA, not including the advisory members, to be employed by the private sector while they are working as board members of the FDA. This will help eliminate the conflict of interest between pharmaceutical companies and the Food and Drug Administration. Since the board members are employed by the private sector drug companies, they are more willing to pass new drugs onto the general public without having proper long term studies about the effects the new drugs can have on a person. Ex: the new Yaz birth control pills. They are portrayed as this great miracle drug, but it's not as great as it seems. Women who take this drug develop blood cots much easier and are more prone to strokes.
