Not allow Congress to vote themselves a pay increase when there is a standing federal deficit.

Created by D.S. on July 11, 2013

While what we pay Congress in salaries, may be a drop in the bucket compared to the federal budget, it is unfair for our politicians to vote themselves a pay raise when they cannot balance, or agree to a plan to balance the budget. This should help spur more cohesion between parties to fix our deficit.

We the people of the United States that are NOT members of Congress do NOT get pay raises if we are not performing our duties to our employer. Congress works for THE PEOPLE, not themselves.
