Recently, news has reported that convicted sex offender, Ma'Lik Richmond, is going to play for the Big Red football team this year. Considering the nature of the rape he and Trent Mays committed in 2012 in Ohio, the law should not allow the two to attend the school-much less play on the football team.
A public school should be a place where children feel respected, welcomed and safe. No such action can be taken place without protecting the bodies of children.
I refuse to be silent. Too many times a persons voice is taken away from them because of rape. It is our duty to unite and give it back to them.
