Cris Collinsworth is a terrible color announcer, and the only color announcer available during Sunday Night Football. In the interest of competition in an open, capitalist market, it is imperative that we first remove the current under-performing color announcer. Then, to ensure that a quality product arises, it is crucial to provide an open forum through which the American Electorate can choose a an announcer more amenable to their sports-viewing needs.
Studies show that televised events such as American Idol, The X Factor, and The Voice are highly viewed exhibitions of talent. In such events, the performer must execute under the pressure of live television. We must have a similar competition to find an announcer more deserving of serving next to the legendary Al Michaels.
