The practice of employers denying employment based on a persons credit score in this economy is tantamount to discrimination based on economic status. If your not poor the first time it happens to you, you soon will be. 1 in 70 American households have had to file bankruptcy since 2005. Bankruptcy is up 5.1% since Dec. 2010. There is no evidence to support that an applicants credit score correlates to ones ability to perform the job. Improving ones credit score or even repairing it is impossible without a job. This smacks of the phrase "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer". I personally have worked in the same industry for 30 years. I lost my house last year and was forced to file bankruptcy. I live in NV. I was laid off, "change in management". I can't even get an interview now.
