The FCC is considering allowing Robo calls from banks and debt collectors to our cell phones. The law already allows such calls if you give permission for your cell phone number to be used to conduct business.
Allowing the FCC to change the rules could lead to all types of other intrusions and nuisance calls to our cell phones such as politicians calling asking for money and support.
Cell phones are different than home phone service because plans can be charged by the minute therefore placing a hardship on the subscriber who is subject to these Robo calls.
