To NOT allow the FDA to amend the standards of the identity for milk and other products to include undisclosed sweetners

This petition is AGAINST allowing the FDA to approve a petition from the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) requests that they "...amend the standard of identity for milk and 17 other dairy products to provide for the use of any safe and suitable sweetner as an optional ingredient... for these products be amended to provide for the use of any safe and suitable sweetener in the optional ingredients." Further, we are AGAINST allowing the IDFA and NMPF request to optionally characterizing/labelling their flavoring ingredients used in milk (e.g., chocolate flavoring added to milk) to be sweetened by any sweetener including non-nutritive sweeteners such as aspartame.
