Not allow the Federal Government to extend the Debt Ceiling.

Created by B.P. on December 28, 2012

It is our position, as citizens of the United States of America that we want our federal government to balance their checkbook just like ordinary citizens do. This responsibility must extend to the now upcoming debt ceiling of 16.4 Trillion dollars. We must not accept any further extensions to the debt ceiling.

There must be a balanced approach to this issue that includes a conversation about tax rates and more importantly government spending and entitlement programs. We can not keep passing our debt onto future generations. This petition exists solely to communicate to the federal government that we respectfully request that the debt ceiling be not increased and that the annual budgets be balanced. After annual budgets are balanced we can then move practically to eliminating our debt.
