not allow Fort Bragg or any other military installation to cancel 4th of July celebrations.

Created by M.W. on April 11, 2013

Fort Bragg has recently stated that the annual 4th of July celebration is being cancelled due to the current fiscal climate and inability to justify the "overtime" required to run the event. American service members have given our blood, sweat and tears since 1776 for this country and we should not be punished as dedicated members of our professional services by being denied celebration for a day that would not be possible without our legacy.

It is unconscionable that an excuse such as inability to pay for overtime could be used when our installations are full of red-blooded Americans who have been deployed to the worst possible locations in the world and could be used to provide a quality, family experience in our own homes for no more than we are paid on a daily basis.
