Please don't allow gay men and women to donate blood. They have chosen this lifestyle, and are being allowed to live this lifestyle. Even though the person requesting this petition may not be affected by HIV/AIDs, there may be other gay people who are infected or even have it in their system before it shows up on a blood test. In order to better protect the spread of this disease, we need to protect blood donors and blood donations from being received by gay people. Those who receive blood transfusions should be able to choose who gives them blood and be informed if the donor is gay. I think this would affect the medical world and give many people a distrust in medical professionals. Please reconsider allowing this petition to be heard. It would affect many Americans in a negative way.
