Not allow restaurants to use peanut oil in their cooking

Created by H.B. on February 14, 2016

Many restaurants use peanut or almond oil in their foods, especially to fry some foods, because it is cheap. Hundreds of thousands of children and adults have an allergy and/or anaphylaxis to peanuts and nuts. It is unfair, especially for a child, to be fearful that the food they are going to eat is made in peanut oil. Those affected may not know there is peanut or nut oil used, since it is hard to tell the difference of what oil is used. It is unethical to put people's lives at risk for a cheaper alternative to canola, or vegetable oil. I urge everyone to sign this petition to protect everyone with but allergies and create a safer world for people to live in by banning peanut oil from being used in restaurants.
