not allow retail stores to be open or require work from employees on Thanksgiving day.

Created by M.E. on November 14, 2012

Retailers are consistently, year by year, opening earlier and earlier requiring employees to work at some point during thanksgiving. This is hurting families and causing pain to employees. We petition that unless a retail store provides a bare necessity such as prescriptions or food that it be illegal to open the store or have any employees working from 12:am thanksgiving morning to 11:59pm thanksgiving night. We want to be able to have fun and enjoy our families, but the way companies are treating their employees makes that impossible.
