To not allow a semi automatic "assault weapon" ban

In the wake of recent violent acts of a select few, that do not represent the group as a whole, it has come to the attention of many that members of congress want to introduce legislation to further infringe on our 2nd amendment rights by introducing a bill to ban many popular semi automatic firearms as "assault rifles." The 2nd amendment reads that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Any legislation passed will infringe on that right that the supreme court has upheld
