Not Approve Any Legislation Which Aims To Deny The American People's Right To Bear Arms Granted To Us By Our Forefathers

The purpose of this petition is to declare that we the American people will not tolerate legislation which aims to deny our right to bear arms. I myself am NOT a gun owner, but I do have that right if I so choose to exercise it. In the 2nd Amendment it clearly states "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Therefore any legislation which is proposed to restrict that right is unconstitutional. Additionally, the signing of any executive order that restricts our right to own guns is also unconstitutional according to Article 5 of the Constitution which declares all Amendments must be approved of by 3/4 of the States or 3/4 of the Amendment Conventions held within each individual state.
