This petition is to encourage the elected representatives of the citizens of the United States of America to not pass a benefit or compensation increase for themselves.
The citizens of this country have endured through harsh economic times and the ever constant threat of employment termination based on regulations, laws, and the failure of government to stop the expansion of the debt limit.
It is for these reasons we believe any funds being considered for congress be spent to lower our national debt, balance the fiscal budget, or increase the pay of active, and retired members of the U.S. armed forces.
