The U.S. has absolutely no national interests in the conflict in Syria. This conflict is an internal civil war within a sovereign nation. Neither side of the conflict are friendly towards the U.S. or will aid the U.S. in its war on terror following the cessation of violence in that country. Both sides have shown great brutality and total disregard for human life, liberty, and freedom. Did we learn nothing in our ruinous adventures in Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq?
Mr. President, no more wars, please. If you are truly a man of peace, do not arm either side in this conflict. Allow it to end of its own accord.
