The proposed Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline is not in our national interest. The use of the dirtiest form of oil is not one of the sustainable solutions our country needs.
Even President Bush signed into Law Section 526 of the Energy Independence and National Security Act of 2007: it prohibits the U.S. government from using taxpayer dollars to purchase fuels that have a higher carbon footprint than conventional oil.
