Presidents come to Los Angeles and other cities to raise funds for political campaigns. The cost of these trip are high. Such costs include:
* traffic congestion,
* wear and tear on infrastructure
* overtime for police controlling traffic
* pollution as vehicle wait for motorcades to pass
pollution as the plane known as Air Force One crosses the country
* perception of corruption as it appears as those the politicians are providing face-time and subsequent influence to those who can afford it.
The financial benefits of these fundraisers for which these trips occur in dollars and cents, are most probably ,less than the sum of all these costs.
