The defense budget is a necessary expense. Those who have volunteered to serve in the Armed Forces past and present should not have to worry about losing benefits they so desperately need. If at all else the benefits that are granted them should be granted them as a token of our appreciation to the service they give and time away from their famlies and loved ones. Leave the defense budget alone, there are other places to cut spending.
