We live in difficult times. Over five years after the greatest economic crisis in recent memory, unemployment remains unacceptably high. The American people are struggling to find ways to feed their loved ones.
A subset of the nation is attempting to impose its preference to watch a soccer match over working upon the rest of the rest of the population. But we are a nation which prizes freedom above all else – and we, as individuals, should be free to choose to support our families, rather than be barred from doing so at the hands of a select few who would rather see our country’s working class struggle more deeply at the behest of their personal sloth. We cannot permit these few to undermine the American workforce out of their narrow love of a sport; a thoroughly un-American one at that.
