The freedom of women to choose in the matter of family planning and abortions is already established federal law. As in the case of Texas, the goverment has no right to deny funding to any group because the Planned Parenthood clinic conducts abortions or provides free condoms or counseling regarding family planning. I do not understand how the Obama administration could support such a policy. It is clearly a pro religion action, which itself is prohibited under the precepts of separation between church and state, a fundamental cornerstone of the founding principles of our government.
