National guard should be a military branch that stricly focuses on the security of our nation by working within our nations borders.
By deploying every branch to other countries there is no single military branch to focus on our internal issues that we desperately need done.
1. Terrorists that live inside of the united states.
2. Border control to stop illegal immigration.
3. Assist local Law enforcement as needed in high risk situations.
4. Natural disaster relief. (how many "national guard" troops were in other countries when we needed help for tornados and hurricanes)
Even our Coast guard has been deployed to Afghanistan. Can we not have just one branch dedicated to our own countries well being?
