President Obama made Christmas Eve 2012 an additional Federal holiday for this year. Many Federal workers such as air traffic controllers are paid twice their base pay on holidays, whether they work that day or not. When the President creates new holidays he is expending millions of dollars at a time when many Americans are out of work and there is a critical budget crisis. Federal workers are well paid and although they may be deserving of a Christmas bonus the fact is the United States cannot afford these impromptu holidays anymore. We ask that the President cease and desist from creating any more Federal holidays until the Federal budget is once again balanced.
