Currently all reservists who are federal employees are not eligible for TRICARE Reserve Select. This is a benefit that is earned by reservists that they share with their families, but not if you are a federal worker.
This is morally wrong as the option to use Tricare should not be eliminated. Tricare Reserve Select is generally a cheaper option for healthcare. This is a benefit that is earned and should be honored to all reservists and their families regardless of who their employer is.
Reserve members are receiving letters to pay back the federal government for health care coverage during their federal service and needs to be addressed.
Please continue to honor veterans and expand Tricare Reserve Select to all reservists without restriction; for they are earning that benefit.
