The internal affairs of other nations, particularly third-world countries, is not our concern. With our mounting debt and countless other domestic crises, we cannot afford to intervene for humanitarian reasons. If the events in places like Syria actually affected us, then we would have logical rationale to intervene. For those who feel the need to help the underprivileged, there is plenty of crime, corruption, poverty, and damage from natural disasters within the United States to worry about. We must pay off all our debts, fix the economy, end poverty and stop crime within our own country, before we can worry about everyone else.
Oh, and stop ranting about chemical weaponry - the only major difference between them and conventional weaponry is the time it takes to kill the affected people.
