Not give children homework, but only assessments.

I believe that children of the United States of America should not have homework throughout their school career. There should still be assessments in classes to see how children are doing. Homework is part of the reason of obesity in children in our country, because children spend all of their time studying and not enough doing outdoor activities. An example of a country with no homework is Finland. They are second in the world academically in Reading and Math and are first in Science. The United States does have homework and a ranked 14th in reading 25th in math and 17th in science. We should have America's children spending more time studying and going outside rather than spending all of our time inside doing homework.
