To grant the people of Mississippi an appearance and speech by the First Lady goes against the Obama Administration's past support of LGBT people . Her attendance would be seen as tacit approval of open discrimination against LGBT people.
We respectfully ask the Obama Administration to cancel First Lady Michelle Obama's speaking engagement at Jackson State University until the 'Religious Liberty Protection Act' (http://goo.gl/diIKhw) is repealed.
