I am putting forth this petition to allow restaurat workers to get their forty hours per week. Currently, I live in Indiana and work in the fast food industry. Recently, many 'jokes' have arisen in the media about fast food workers and their wages.
The reality is that for some of us that are either divorced, single, or are single parents, this is no laughing matter. Having Obamacare tied to how many hours fast food workers receive is a 'travesty.' People here have very little money for food, laundry, buses, let alone owning a car.
This isn't a third world country I am speakig of, this is America. There are people who come into my restaurant who are hungry and have no money to buy food. I have to often just give them a cup of water, and then wonder what happens to these people.
