Her actions led to the death of American soldiers. On one account she visited the hanoi hilton. The prisoners secretly passed her notes to turn over to America. She turned the notes in to their captors. Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day. Se does not deserve to be honored as one of Americas greatest women of the last century.
