NOT issue any Presidential Orders to address the USA gun violence problems that may infringe on the powers of Congress.

Created by M.B. on January 11, 2013

Based on the belief that a President who abuses his executive order authority undermines the constitutional separation of powers and may even violate it, and that there are serious constitutional and other problems in the broad assertion of any assumed Presidential power to 'govern by decree' that in fact, may infringe on the powers and duties of Congress; we therefore call upon President Obama and the Obama administration NOT to issue ANY Presidential Orders and/or Decrees regarding the issues of 'gun control' and to carefully weigh its legal options and potential political fall-out concerns, along with its own policy objectives, in order to find the right solutions for dealing effectively with each opportunity to address the multi-faceted gun violence problem in America.
