Citizenship in the United States of America is a privilege and a responsibility. It should not be offered to individuals who have broken our laws, because the Republican Party needs the Latino vote or because our President wants a legacy. It is not to be bartered or trivialized. We must stay true to our principles and demand that our representatives in Washington find another way to detail with this issue.
