This petition is to make gay marriage legal in all states. Most states are against gay marriage due primarily to the fact that the law makers in that state our religious and it's against THEIR beliefs. The United States of America was founded with a basic Bill of Rights and one of our rights is freedom of religion. So while your religion may be against gay marriage not everyone else's religion is. So I believe the issue of gay marriage shouldn't be held at a state level law, but as a national law.
