The entire 50+ year budget for NASA is roughly equal to one month of the Iraq War. Despite this, it has brought us to the moon and allowed us to explore our Milky Way in phenomenal depth.
Along the way it has also supplied us with new writing utensils, forms of matress, cell phones and satellite television, and so much more.
Perhaps most of all though, it brings us a future where kids dream of flying to Mars and dreaming of a vacation to the outer reaches of a black hole instead of watching 16 and Pregnant, dreaming of being a Snooki.
Increased scientific funding for NASA would better this country exponentially, and is our only real long-term chance of remaining the primary superpower. Due to these, we the people desire a strong financial backing of NASA far better than current.
