not pay members of Congress during a government shutdown, and award no back pay for such time.

Created by J.B. on October 01, 2013

Members of Congress represent the people. So during a government shutdown, they should feel the pain of the people as well.

I submit that members of Congress not be paid during any government shutdown. Furthermore, they should be awarded no back pay for the days they 'work' without pay.

If you or I don't do our job, we don't get paid and would not retain our jobs. It is time to hold our elected officials to the same standard to which we are all held.
