No one in the government is mentioning what this minimum wage increase is going to do to inflation. If you currently make $10/hour and your company does not give you a cost of living raise, you WILL be living in poverty. Once the wage goes up, companies are going to forward those costs to consumers causing products to drastically increase in price. A $4 pack of toilet paper will cost $6, a $3.50 gallon of milk will cost $5+, gasoline will be $6/gallon.This will hardly effect the oil industry but, some people will be making more money and our government will not stop them from jacking up the prices. So before we get too excited about the immediate rewards, maybe we should stop and look at this on the long-term scale. There will only be 2 classes in America, the ultra poor, and ultra rich.
