The United States is currently 16 trillion in debt, and has a budget deficit of 1 trillion dollars. The issue right now is not revenue; it is spending. Raising taxes will only give more money to Washington to spend. The Federal government needs to learn how to balance its budget like businesses have to do. And businesses cannot simply ask for more revenue; they must cut spending.
Washington, the biggest business in the United States, needs to set an example to American businesses and American citizens by balancing its budget.
