Dear Mr. President,
The results of the 2013 Malaysian Elections are out, but the manner in which these elections were conducted were anything but free and fair.
Voter intimidation, vote buying, phantom voters - the list of atrocities by the incumbent party goes on. Alas, they have brazenly succeeded in holding on to power without fear of repercussions.
The people of Malaysia, who have dared dream of change, have been robbed of their right to make a difference, but will not go silently into the night. We ask that the beacons of democracy throughout the world, spearheaded by the United States, hold back on recognizing the elections until a clean and unbiased Election Commission is able to investigate the widespread voter fraud and hold the ruling coalition accountable.
Thank you
