The Obama administration has mobilized 3,000 US Army personnel to be sent into West Africa; this is twice the number currently stationed in Iraq. According to the administration, we are to "Lead the Global Effort", how can our country lead a global effort if we cannot even lead our own people into proper healthcare or out of poverty? That aside, our military should not be involved in the Ebola outbreak. If we send our troops over seas to "combat" Ebola, we will have casualties not from terrorists in the middle east, nor from war with another country; they will be lost to a disease which is not currently posing a threat to our country. The CDC has stated that Ebola IS NOT a threat to the US. So why is there a need to send our troops into Africa? It is a waste of resources, and lives.
