We ask that President Obama stop sending a wreath to the Arlington Confederate Monument.
There have been more than a million people who have signed secession petitions at the white house. This should be sen as odious and deeply anti-American,
Yet, besides the wreath, the federal government indulges honoring secessionists by practices such as allowing the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) to get involved with the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps; Allowing the United Daughters of the Confederacy to give awards to cadets at the U.S. Military academies named after treasonous secessionists; and allowing the SCV to be part of the Federal Combined Campaign.
This normalizes secession and honors violent secessionists. Stop honoring violent secessionists.
