This petition is an attempt to persuade President Obama from signing into law FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act).
The law, which was just passed by the Senate, will allow warrant-less wire tapping to be used on American citizens. Although the bill will most likely be used primarily towards national defense, it does provide opportunity for government agencies to violate citizens right to privacy.
We petition President Obama to not sign FISA or any other bill that allows for citizens phones and or communications devices to be tapped or monitored without a warrant.
