President Obama believes that police body cameras will solve our problem of police brutality and will improve police/civilian relations. However, this technology is extremely expensive and flawed. It it subject to human error and it is an invasion of privacy for both civilians and officers. There are other programs and policies that can be set in place to ensure that officers are accountable for their actions, and then our country will not have to spend so much money on the cameras and the storage of these cameras. Cameras will only capture a behavior, but not change it! We, as Americans, have to prove together that we can fix this problem without relying on expensive technology!
