There are many protesting for stricter gun laws. The gun laws are fine as they are. Restricting "Assault Rifles" and "High Capacity Magazines" will do nothing to prevent criminals from attaining such items. drugs and automatic weapons are illegal yet criminals still attain them.
Changing current laws would be further impingement on our civil liberties and rights that so many men and women have fought for and died for.
firearms and magazines do not commit crimes. the individual that bears said items commits the crimes. There are many other options to commit crimes not just firearms.
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
