The White House is known as the People's House, because of the relationship of the citizens of this country to the goverment. The White House has never been closed to public tours for extended periods, except in time war. President Obama's proposal to close the White House to public tours as a result of sequestration, only shows how far this administration will go to introduce politics into the budget crisis this country currently faces. We call upon the President to find outher ways, such as not travelling on golf outings with friends to cut the White House Operations Budget and allow the citizens of this country to continue to tour the house that has become a symbol of our nation.
