There's a large opposition coming from the American people and also from our American allies in regards to striking Syria for their "supposed" chemical use on its citizens. It is a horrible thing indeed, but we don't need to get entangled/embroiled in another war in order to give Syria "a slap on the wrist".
We are not being insensitive or trying to be passive when it comes to holding those who are responsible accountable. But WE the people of the United States, are tired of jumping into another quicksand in the Middle East. Unless we really have a valid reason and good evidence to do so other than saving face or relying on poor evidence, American tax dollars are better off spent on American infrastructure, education, health-care, clean energy, poverty and economy.
