It's a fact that bans on gun magazines with a capacity of 10+ are useless. Detachable box magazines have been around for over a 100 yrs.
Banning a large capacity magazine to force a criminal to reload more often will not have any noticeable nor significant effect on saving the lives of any potential victims.
Criminals tend to obtain guns and other items they want by illegal means regardless of the law.
Placing such restrictions on the public won't stop crimes.
On the inverse side such a restriction on the public could cost the lives of innocent people who aren't gun experts, don't have military/police training in the use of guns. People who are merely trying to protect themselves and their families. Law abiding people, not criminals.
