Now banks that are too big to fail are too big to jail! HSBC is caught intentionally laundering money for drug cartels, among other things, and no one within the organization can be jailed for conspiring to launder drug money because the bank is too big! Even though you can reasonably infer that doing so has facilitated a significant number of murders within, and possibly outside, Mexico.
We need banking functions separated and banks broken up to be smaller so that no one bank failure can severely damage our economy and no one can think that because they work for a bank, they can get away with murder on their behalf.
