For the $7 billion dollars the National Science Foundation has we should by now have at least 3 free 2-hour web videos telling:
1) the story of evolution including the rise of oxygen, the metazoans, fish, vertebrates, primates, humans, etc.
2) the history of science including the story of the Library of Alexandria, Copernicus, Galileo, Newton, Edison, etc.
and
3) the story of our future- how the population will continue to increase, how there will be flying air highways, how the Earth will be a bee-hive swarming with ships, how genetics will end aging, how our descendent will consume the atmosphere of the planets, and will send walking robots to colonize the planets of other stars, and use gravity to pull those stars closer to our home star.
It's dangerous to leave the public so ignorant
