Nuclear disarmament before it is too late

Created by J.W. on November 11, 2016

The United States currently has approximately 4,500 nuclear weapons. Russia has about the same. Together those will destroy life on earth. The odds of that happening is more than 20% during your lifetime. We have only existed with these weapons for 70 years and yet there have been 6 episodes of potential global nuclear war, each of which would kill everyone on this planet. It will happen. As Herb Stein said, if something cannot go on forever it will stop. Nuclear deterrence is such a thing. It cannot and will not last and therefore we must disarm now, for the sake of life on this planet. Trump must choose to disarm because the current risk we face is unacceptable to us and our children.
